Resonance School Conservatory ProgramCertificates in Performance and Music Theory
About The Conservatory ProgramA Certificate Granting Program
Resonance School offers a course of study designed to take our students to the next level. Students will be able to take courses alongside their weekly lessons that follow the same structure found in our nation’s top music schools. Students will study Music Theory, Composition, Music History, and play together in Ensemble settings to round out a full conservatory program. This course was designed in line with The College Board AP Music Theory and AP Music History Exams. Each course will run for ten weeks with weekly one hour class sessions.
Our program offers extensive education on the theories and techniques behind the music as well as applying these theories to each student’s instrument of study. This program is perfect for students interested in pursuing music as a career and is designed to mimic a college student’s course of study.
The study of Music Theory / History is important to learn the structures and styles of various forms of Music. We will study the music and forms of Renaissance composers up through modern. Our classes are in sections and are divided in a way in which we can put you in a class with students on the same level. We do have a music theory placement exam. Students looking to join our music theory classes must take this exam so we can accurately place you.
